Cincinnati Reds 2B Brandon Phillips hit two homers Tuesday, May 22. He said he made an adjustment at the plate as his strained hamstring in the fifth game of the season altered his stance. Now that the hamstring is healed, he's back into his usual crouch at the plate.

Cincinnati Reds 2B Brandon Phillips and OFs Ryan Ludwick and Drew Stubbs all homered in a winning effort Thursday, April 19. The team had just one homer in their last nine games and started the day with a .211 batting average. Phillips and Stubbs hit their first homers, while Ludwick's was his second. Stubbs went 3-for-5 in the game. Phillips' two RBIs were his first of the season.

Cincinnati Reds 2B Brandon Phillips (hamstring) has been playing with a hamstring injury and has been favoring it when running. Manager Dusty Baker said Phillips is playing because it is not known when Phillips' injury will heal. Baker has told Phillips to take it easy during certain plays and do not have any sudden stops and starts. Baker said Phillips needs to ignore the boos for not hustling because it is allowing him to play another game and resting his hamstring.

Cincinnati Reds 2B Brandon Phillips (hamstring) was able to play Sunday, April 15, against the Washington Nationals, and he went 1-for-4 with a double. Phillips was atop manager Dusty Baker's lineup, and he said he did not aggravate his injury. "I didn't hurt it. But I felt it. I took off (on the bunt) and said, 'whoa,' Phillips said. He expects to play Tuesday, April 17.
