Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta said DH Travis Hafner (knee) will undergo a series of tests Monday, May 28, to see where he is with his injured right knee. The team is not saying if Hafner will need to go on the 15-day disabled list.

Cleveland Indians DH Travis Hafner (knee) will be tested Monday, May 28, to see how his right knee has responded to a cortisone shot that was given Thursday, May 24. Trainer Lonnie Soloff said he may need to undergo surgery if the knee doesn't respond well to the shot, rest and rehab.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Indians DH Travis Hafner (hand) left the game after being hit by a pitch on his right hand Thursday, May 17, but he did not undergo X-rays. Swelling in his hand made it difficult for him to grip a bat, but he's expected to be ready to play Friday, May 18.
