Fri, 02 Oct 2015 12:24:23 -0700

The game between Miami Marlins SP Justin Nicolino and Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang has been rained out Friday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore and seasonal players will want to avoid all players from this game Friday. Expect a doubleheader between Miami and Philadelphia Saturday, Oct. 3.

Marlins | Adeiny Hechavarria remains sidelined

Tue, 22 Sep 2015 12:33:58 -0700

Miami Marlins SS Adeiny Hechavarria (hamstring) remains out of the starting lineup Tuesday, Sept. 22. SS Miguel Rojas is hitting eighth against Phillies SP Aaron Harang.

Fantasy Tip: Hechavarria ($3,800, 7.6% of cap), like 3B Martin Prado with his wrist injury, may be a target for shutdown for the season the longer he remains out. Monitor the situation. Rojas ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is actually a good low-cost option to save cap room, as he has a .450 average in the past week.

Marlins | Martin Prado out Tuesday

Tue, 22 Sep 2015 12:28:05 -0700

Miami Marlins 3B Martin Prado (wrist) remains out of active duty Tuesday, Sept. 22, against the Philadelphia Phillies. 3B Donovan Solano is in Prado's place and will hit second against Phillies SP Aaron Harang.

Fantasy Tip: With the season winding down to the final week here soon, you have to wonder when the Marlins shut Prado ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) down. Keep an eye on him just in case. As for Solano ($1,600, 3.2% of cap), he is 6-for-8 against Harang and may make a good cap-saving pick.

Phillies | Aaron Harang continues to struggle

Mon, 07 Sep 2015 21:41:13 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang allowed five earned runs, eight hits and three walks over five innings in a loss Monday, Sept. 7, against the Atlanta Braves. Harang leads the majors with 15 losses, and he is 1-12 with a 6.33 ERA over his past 17 starts.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) is way overpriced in FantasyScore for the results he is turning in, so avoid him until at least 2016.

Mets | Kelly Johnson out of Tuesday lineup

Tue, 01 Sep 2015 13:00:01 -0700

New York Mets 2B Kelly Johnson is not starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, against the Philadelphia Phillies. 1B Daniel Murphy is at second base and is hitting third against Phlllies SP Aaron Harang.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is alternating in the lineup every other day as the Mets balance a lineup with more infielders. He is hitting .182 against Harang, which likely accounts for his absence.

Phillies | Aaron Harang ends drought

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 20:37:06 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang won for the first time in eight starts, allowing one run on nine hits in five innings against the Atlanta Braves Thursday, July 30.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) had allowed at least four runs in six straight starts, but he will need to do more than scatter nine hits over five innings to make him worth taking a chance on at FantasyScore moving forward.

Phillies | Aaron Harang in winless stretch

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 08:58:28 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang, who is 4-11 on the season with a 4.08 ERA, has lost his last eight decisions and hasn't won a game since May 14.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has been out since July 1 with a foot injury. He's given up 36 earned runs in 46 2/3 innings in his last eight starts, including allowing 10 home runs. Even against the struggling Atlanta Braves, Harang should be considered a very weak FantasyScore option in his start Thursday.

Phillies | Aaron Harang to start Thursday

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 10:51:25 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang (foot) is scheduled to be the starting pitcher against the Atlanta Braves Thursday, July 30.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has not pitched since he allowed eight runs in a start July 1. He is coming off a foot injury and has not pitched in any rehab games, so owners on FantasyScore may want to avoid him.

Phillies | Rehab start next for Aaron Harang

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 14:23:42 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang (foot) next step in his recovery is to make a rehab start.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) looked solid early in the season, and he owned a 2.02 ERA after his first 11 starts. However, the wheels fell off, and Harang posted an 8.31 ERA while allowing hitters to post a .331/.391/.572 slash line against him over his next six outings. Harang is a risky start in all fantasy formats, and should be viewed as nothing more than a desperation option.

Phillies | Aaron Harang scheduled to throw

Sat, 18 Jul 2015 08:04:35 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Harang (foot) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, July 17. Harang has been on the 15-day disabled list since July 2, but is making progress.

Fantasy Tip: Harang ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) likely will need to make at least one rehab start before returning. Harang could be moved before the trade deadline, so his fantasy value will be determined by which team he is playing for when he returns.
