Andrew Mason, of DenverBroncos.com, reports overall, the Denver Broncos have nine defensive linemen who have started at least eight games in the past two years - DLs Courtney Brown, Ebenezer Ekuban, Michael Myers, Gerard Warren, Trevor Pryce, John Engelberger and returning veterans Marco Coleman, Monsanto Pope and Mario Fatafehi. Add in 35-year-old DL Raylee Johnson and 32-year-old DL Luther Elliss - both of whom were longtime starters and perennial standouts in San Diego and Detroit, respectively - and the defensive line possesses an embarrassment of riches when it comes to experience. Now comes the task of sewing these parts into a unit, and defining roles for those who eventually make the team. "It just comes down to us developing that situation into a rotation, which we think is the key to defensive-line play, being able to rotate guys and keep us healthy," defensive coordinator Larry Coyer said. "It's going to be really competitive."

Andrew Mason, of DenverBroncos.com, reports Denver Broncos DL Luther Elliss says he has completely recovered from back surgery last year, and has shown up to the Broncos' offseason workouts slimmer and in better physical condition than in years gone by. "I'm trying to stay healthy by doing extra stuff like Plyometrics, a lot of stretching, a lot of pilates, yoga and different things like that," Elliss said, "trying to make sure that I don't have any setbacks this year." Elliss is currently carrying 300 pounds on his 6-foot-5 frame—down 18 pounds from his listed playing weight.
