Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick (shoulder) is in a bulky sling two weeks after having surgery to fix torn cartilage in his shoulder. He'll wear the sling for two more weeks, and he will miss at least the first half of the season. Ludwick has been limited to getting range of motion back in his arm.

Fantasy Tip: Ludwick is only worth stashing in NL-only leagues because of the length of time that he'll miss.

Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick (shoulder) will be out for three months after he undergoes shoulder surgery Wednesday, April 3. The team is expected to recall OF Derrick Robinson from the minors.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey will definitely be a popular target in deep mixed leagues if you need more outfield depth. It's unknown if he'll start in center and bump Shin-Soo Choo to left, though. Robinson can be ignored.

Fantasy Tip: Ludwick will land on the disabled list and will probably be out for longer than 15 days. Keep an eye on the timetable for his return when the team has a better idea. Chris Heisey will be a waiver wire target in deep mixed leagues now that he'll be given consistent playing time.

Fantasy Tip: This appears to be an injury that should keep Ludwick out for a good chunk of time. Keep an eye out for the results of his MRI tomorrow, but in the meantime, Chris Heisey should be a popular waiver wire addition.

Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a dislocated right shoulder, and he'll have an MRI exam Tuesday, April 2, to confirm.

Fantasy Tip: Chris Heisey will benefit with Ludwick likely needing extended time to recover from his injuries. Heisey has always only been worth owning mainly in NL leagues because of his inconsistent playing time, but he should be considered in mixed leagues now, as well, if your outfield depth is lacking.
