Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick can make $500,000 in performance bonuses this year; $50,000 each for 250, 300 and 350 plate appearances, $100,000 each for 400 and 450 and $150,000 for 500. He also will receive a $5 million mutual option for 2013 that includes a $500,000 buyout.

Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick is excited about playing in the Great American Ball Park, where he has hit .276 with six homers and 21 RBIs in 105 career at-bats. "Playing in San Diego screwed me up," Ludwick said. "I'm not using that as an excuse or a crutch, but it turned me into a dead pull hitter. I got away from what I was as a hitter."

The Cincinnati Reds finalized their deals with OF Ryan Ludwick and SP Jeff Francis Wednesday, Feb. 8. Ludwick will make $2.5 million this year and his deal includes a mutual option for 2013. RP Carlos Fisher was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Francis' deal is a minor league contract.

Cincinnati Reds OF Ryan Ludwick's one-year deal contains a mutual option for the 2013 season. Ludwick could form a platoon in left field with OF Chris Heisey.

The Oakland Athletics are looking for a right-handed hitting outfielder, with free-agent OFs Jonny Gomes (Nationals) and Ryan Ludwick (Pirates) as possibilities. Oakland isn't ruling out free-agent OF Johnny Damon (Rays), either.

The San Francisco Giants are looking at free-agent OF Ryan Ludwick (Pirates) and were scheduled to meet with his agent Monday, Dec. 5. The Giants are also looking at free-agent OFs Coco Crisp (Athletics) and Josh Willingham (Athletics).
