Sun, 16 Feb 2003 18:57:01 -0800 The AP reports the Boston Red Sox reached an agreement on a minor league contract with P Gary Galvez. The 18-year-old defected from Cuba in Aug. 2002. Galvez will likely start the season in Class A. Galvez is currently living in the Dominican Republic and likely wouldn’t be able to report to camp for several weeks while he obtains a visa.
