Philadelphia Phillies SP Cliff Lee (elbow) threw eight minutes of living batting practice Wednesday, Feb. 25, and did not have any problems. Lee threw mostly fastballs during the session. He has been throwing every third day and could face some batters this weekend. He is not expected to pitch in a spring training game until the second week of camp.
Fantasy Tip: The Phillies are taking things easy with Lee so he will be ready for the start of the season. Lee probably will be used in the middle of the rotation if he is not traded during spring training. He should be considered as a low-end No. 2 starting pitcher in fantasy drafts this season.

Philadelphia Phillies SP Cliff Lee (elbow) is throwing bullpen sessions every third day of spring training camp, instead of every other day like the other pitchers. "We're just being safe, easing into it," he said. "I'm fine."
Fantasy Tip: The Phillies want to err on the side of caution with Lee. He could prove to be a valuable trading chip if he can demonstrate that he is both healthy and effective this season, after he only appeared in 13 games last year. He projects to be a low-end No. 2 starter in fantasy leagues.

Philadelphia Phillies SP Cliff Lee (elbow) is where he usually is entering the season, according to manager Ryane Sandberg. Sandberg noted the team will be keeping an eye on his side sessions and outings, though.
Fantasy Tip: Lee, like most veterans in Philadelphia, is on the trade block, and he would benefit from a move to a contending team. There may be a discount to be had with Lee on draft day, as he only started 13 games last season. Injury concerns should be minimal, though, as he averaged 222 innings per year over the six previous seasons. Consider Lee a low-end No. 2 starter on draft day.

Philadelphia Phillies SP Cliff Lee (illness) recently dealt with bronchitis, which made him briefly put his winter throwing program on hold.
Fantasy Tip: Lee should be fine for the start of spring training and the regular season. He's been the subject of trade talk in the offseason. However, it doesn't appear as if a move is imminent. His injury last year is concerning, especially given his age, but when healthy he's been as consistent as they come. Consider him a suitable No. 2 fantasy pitcher that could gain value midway through the season if he's traded to a contending team.
