Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (hamstring) started running sprints yesterday and hopes to start a rehab assignment by the end of Baltimore's road trip.

Fantasy Tip: The current one ends on Sunday, June 23. He might be back before the All-Star break, but you can never be too optimistic with Roberts.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (hamstring) said it's realistic to expect him to return before the All-Star break. He's been performing baseball activities and building up strength in his hamstring after surgery. Roberts has been running, playing catch and recently went from hitting off a tee to taking batting practice.

Fantasy Tip: Roberts hasn't played a full season since 2009. He's an injury risk, and that's an extreme understatement. It wouldn't be a surprise for him to miss his timetable of returning before the All-Star break, and the O's have no incentive to rush him. Ryan Flaherty and Alexi Casilla have been splitting time at the keystone. They'll lose their value when B-Rob returns, but that likely won't come anytime soon.

Baltimore Orioles 3B Wilson Betemit (knee) took swings in the batting cages Tuesday, June 4, at extended spring training with 2B Brian Roberts (hamstring). Betemit is slowly working his way back into baseball activities.
