Phillies | John Mayberry starting

Mon, 01 Apr 2013 15:29:02 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF John Mayberry Jr. is starting over OF Laynce Nix in the outfield on opening day Monday, April 1, because manager Charlie Manuel likes Mayberry's approach against Atlanta Braves SP Tim Hudson. Manuel's decision on the platoon in right field will be made based on matchups, the type of pitcher starting and recent performances.

Fantasy Tip: Both players will cannabalize each other's PT, making them only valuable in deep NL leagues. Mayberry should be your first target of the two.
