Spencer Fordin, writing for BlueJays.MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays RP Scott Service is working on a new pitch, a hard knuckle ball, which might eventually become his out pitch. Toronto's manager Carlos Tosca, who says the pitch is good enough to throw in games right now, describes the pitch as a "dive-bomber" when it works correctly. Service used the knuckle ball as a strikeout pitch when he pitched in Japan, and he thinks it may serve the same purpose in the Major Leagues.
