Former MLB OF Adam Piatt has been named in the Mitchell Report. After personal trainer and former employee of the New York Mets Kirk Radomski's guilty plea was publicly announced, Piatt's lawyer contacted investigators. Piatt voluntarily admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and took full responsibility for his actions.

Updating a previous item, The Akron Beacon Journal is reporting Cleveland Indians 3B Adam Piatt has chosen to retire. Piatt left the team for personal reasons at the start of the week.

Sabathia – his first start as a Devil Ray. "We'll give him a couple days to hit some balls and get acclimated. He hasn't played in a while," manager Lou Piniella said.

"I think he's at the point where he's gotta start justifying to baseball that he's a player," Macha said.
