"I just got the call about a half-hour ago. All they said was we're flying you out here and we'll see you soon. I'm just excited to come back," Mahe said.

Buckhalter could see extensive action against the Baltimore Ravens as he continues his comeback from knee injuries that have stalled his career. "It's football, so the physical part of things is not a worry for me," Buckhalter said. "I'm excited to be out here, and when they call my number, I'll be ready to go. I feel great." He had his first contact Sunday since suffering a strained knee ligament July 26. Moats, who came into this camp as the No. 2 back behind Westbrook, ran with the third team while RB Reno Mahe continued to run with the starters. "Really, he's just coming back as of today," offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said. "He had some live drills, so he's right in there in the same area as Correll (RB Buckhalter). He's got a little more recent past experience, but he's in that same boat."

When asked whether the Eagles have enough running backs to have an effective rushing attack, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said, "We'll see." "We think we have some pretty good backs on this team," Mornhinweg said. "That's one of the great things about having five preseason games. We're going to find out." During a goal-line drill Tuesday, Aug. 8, Mahe was unable to find any running room and a couple of times was stuffed for what in a game would've been lost yardage. Mahe is smart enough to know he isn't the answer.
