The Denver Post reports Denver Broncos WR Phil McGeoghan (shoulder) will likely miss the upcoming season after suffering an injury in NFL Europe last week. He underwent surgery on Monday, bringing an end to his NFL Europe season and likely ending his 2002 NFL season as well. The team will hold off until training camp before making a roster move with him, as he'll likely be placed on the non-football injury list.

The New York Times reports New York Jets WR Phil McGeoghan, who signed with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent, has impressed the team with his size. At six-foot-three, McGeoghan adds more height to the Jets receiving corps, which is something the team has been looking for since Keyshawn Johnson left a year ago. McGeoghan has noted he's been a bit star-struck by everything but has been very impressed by the team and is hoping to catch on.
