Brett Borden, of Panthers.com, reports Carolina Panthers rookie TE Jeff King could see more action in Week 5 now that TE Mike Seidman (knee) is sidelined with a knee injury. "I got in a little bit last week on special teams," said King, referring to Week 4. "But everybody's goal is to get on the field. The guys we have (at tight end) are very capable. They've played a long time. Kris (Mangum) is into his 10th year. I'll take whatever role they want to give me. I'm just here to learn and get better and help this football team."

Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers TE Mike Seidman (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 4, and is listed as out for Week 5. Seidman has a torn ACL in his knee and is likely done for the season.

The Carolina Panthers announced TE Mike Seidman (knee) has suffered a torn ACL in his knee. Seidman is likely out for the season. The team has not placed Seidman on Injured Reserve yet. TE Michael Gaines will likely replace Seidman in the starting lineup.
