Mayer tied the NFL Europe single-game record with three interceptions for 36 yards during his team's 30-24 overtime defeat of the Amsterdam Admirals.

Andy Hart, of Patriots.com, reports as of now the New England Patriots have 22 players who will become free agents when the official filing period begins Wednesday, March 3. Only one player, OG Russ Hochstein, is a restricted free agent, the rest are unrestricted free agents. In addition, the Patriots also have four exclusive rights free agents – OT Tom Ashworth, OG Gilbert Brown, WR David Givens and FS Shawn Mayer. Those players effectively have no option of leaving should the team choose to re-sign them.
