Fri, 06 Dec 2013 11:42:30 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 6, and is probable for Week 14.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee's 2.8 yards per carry mark this year just goes to show that he doesn't have a whole lot left in the tank. However, he's still the best option the Browns have in the backfield. The fact that he returned to double-digit carries last week is a positive. Consider him a flex play, at best, in deeper leagues.

Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is listed as probable for Week 13.

Wed, 27 Nov 2013 13:46:11 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) was able to practice fully Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee is likely to start in the Week 13 game, but he is only worth a look as a low-end RB2 or flex fantasy play in leagues of 12 or more teams.
Fri, 22 Nov 2013 11:16:53 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 22, and is probable for Week 12.
Fantasy Tip: You've got to be extremely desperate to be starting McGahee these days. If he's on your roster, he's probably just clogging it up.

Wed, 13 Nov 2013 15:04:54 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee is virtually useless this year, averaging less than three yards per carry. If you're starting him, you better be extremely desperate. He's better left on the waiver wire.
Fri, 08 Nov 2013 07:58:03 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Chris Ogbonnaya will start receiving more carries and dip into RB Willis McGahee's workload. McGahee is averaging just 2.6 yards per carry in 100 rushes.
Tue, 05 Nov 2013 11:36:12 -0800
Updating a previous item, Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said RB Chris Ogbonnaya could start to receive more carries.
Fantasy Tip: Willis McGahee is still listed as the No. 1, but he's clearly running out of steam and has an extremely limited ceiling. Ogbonnaya has more upside and should be considered the more attractive running back in this backfield.
Tue, 05 Nov 2013 08:27:13 -0800
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) is not practicing Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Fri, 01 Nov 2013 12:42:43 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) is practicing Friday, Nov. 1.
Thu, 31 Oct 2013 10:08:12 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knees) is getting the day off from practice Thursday, Oct. 31, to rest his knees.
Fantasy Tip: Even with the day off from practice, it is likely that McGahee will be good to go in Week 9. You have to be down to some pretty thin options at running back to consider starting McGahee these days. Avoid him if you can.
Wed, 30 Oct 2013 14:11:29 -0700
Cleveland Browns LB Quentin Groves (ankle) and DE Billy Winn (quadriceps) were limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 30. RB Willis McGahee (knee), RB Chris Ogbonnaya (ribs), CB Christopher Owens (finger) and LB Jabaal Sheard (wrist) practiced in full.
Fantasy Tip: Expect both McGahee and Ogbonnaya to suit up in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens. However, both running backs are weak fantasy plays, especially against a tough Ravens run defense. McGahee's age is starting to show, and Fozzy Whittaker's opportunities are going up.
Fri, 25 Oct 2013 12:21:46 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 25, and is probable for Week 8.
Fantasy Tip: On paper, the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs is a bad one. It'll be tough to find running room for McGahee, making him a very weak starting option in Week 8.
Fri, 25 Oct 2013 08:08:33 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) is back at practice Friday, Oct. 25.
Thu, 24 Oct 2013 15:06:49 -0700

Fri, 18 Oct 2013 11:54:37 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is probable for Week 7.
Fantasy Tip: It looks as though McGahee is good to go in Week 7, and you should use him as you normally would.
Fri, 18 Oct 2013 08:17:35 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) is practicing Friday, Oct. 18.
Thu, 17 Oct 2013 14:55:33 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee (knee) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 17. The team was just giving McGahee a day off from practice to rest his surgically repaired knee, and he rode a bike and worked on the side during drills. Cleveland expects him to play in Week 7 versus the Green Bay Packers, but he'll likely be on the injury report for the rest of the year. "We have an unusual situation, and we're making the best out of it," offensive coordinator Norv Turner said. "McGahee is giving us plays. Ogbonnaya is giving us plays. Bobby's giving us some plays. Now we're going to use Fozzy a little bit and see how he does. No question it's a group effort."
Fantasy Tip: McGahee will continue to see the majority of touches in this backfield if he can stay healthy. That counts for something. However, he's on the wrong side of 30 and isn't much more than a flex play most weeks.
Fri, 04 Oct 2013 10:08:04 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Chris Ogbonnaya (concussion) suffered a concussion in the team's Week 5 game Thursday, Oct. 3.
Fantasy Tip: The good news is that Ogbonnaya will have over a week to prepare and pass concussion tests leading up to Week 6. Willis McGahee is clearly the back to own in Cleveland, though.
Thu, 26 Sep 2013 08:33:29 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee expects improved performance in Week 4 after his first full week of practice with the team.
Fantasy Tip: He has very little competition and should be owned in most leagues.
Mon, 23 Sep 2013 08:03:00 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee rushed eight times for 9 yards in Week 3.
Fantasy Tip: No other running back had more than four carries. McGahee's workload should increase with a full week of practice. However, the impact he can have is in question. He's a bye-week fill-in right now.
Fri, 20 Sep 2013 10:16:57 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee is reportedly in great shape after passing physicals with three separate teams.
Fantasy Tip: He may be healthy, but his place in a lackluster offense won't give him a ton of value. He should be owned in deep leagues, but starting him this week would be a mistake. Chris Ogbonnaya will likely be the better play against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fri, 20 Sep 2013 05:39:54 -0700
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee will play in Week 3. The team's offense is similar to the one he was involved in with the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy Tip: We can't speculate how many touches he'll receive, but it's hard to imagine him getting 20 or more without a training camp.
Thu, 19 Sep 2013 14:04:34 -0700
Cleveland Browns RB Willis McGahee plans to play in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. He rushed for 731 yards in 10 games for the Denver Broncos last year before suffering a serious knee injury that kept him out for the final two months.
Fantasy Tip: We can't imagine that McGahee would be very effective if he played on such a quick turnaround. Chris Ogbonnaya should see the majority of the work Sunday, but he's a desperation start. McGahee should be picked up in most leagues.
Thu, 19 Sep 2013 12:13:07 -0700
The Cleveland Browns signed RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) Thursday, Sept. 19. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee is worth an add in deeper leagues, especially if you need help at running back.
Wed, 18 Sep 2013 15:36:35 -0700
The Cleveland Browns traded RB Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts Wednesday, Sept. 18, in exchange for a first-round draft pick next year.
Fantasy Tip: Sooo, the Browns will have two first-round picks in 2014, but they gave up a potential franchise player to do so. Willis McGahee will be signed to become the new lead back, but Chris Ogbonnaya could see valuable touches in the backfield, as well. McGahee could be a decent flex play in most weeks.
Wed, 18 Sep 2013 15:27:51 -0700
The Cleveland Browns will sign free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) to an undisclosed deal if he passes a physical.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee obviously is no Trent Richardson, but assuming he's healthy, he should have some fantasy value, albeit very limited. With T-Rich gone, McGahee should become the main back, possibly alongside Chris Ogbonnaya or Bobby Rainey.
Mon, 09 Sep 2013 07:49:52 -0700
The New York Giants will work out free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Tue, 06 Aug 2013 21:34:57 -0700
Free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) has been keeping himself in great shape, and as injuries mount during the preseason he might get calls from teams. However, right now nothing sounds imminent.
Sat, 15 Jun 2013 21:44:33 -0700
Paul Klee, of the Colorado Springs Gazette, believes the primary reason free-agent RB Willis McGahee (knee, Broncos) is no longer a Denver Broncos roster member is because of his health status. Broncos head coach John Fox said McGahee's decision to skip voluntary minicamp had nothing to do with the veteran's release.
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 12:57:52 -0700
Free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) said he plans to play this season. "I will keep playing," he said. "I don't feel like I have to go out there and say what I have left. I know what I can do. I'm not worried about it. Once I get the opportunity, it will be all good."
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 12:56:14 -0700
Free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) said the Denver Broncos did not ask him to re-sign with them at a lower salary.
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 12:55:33 -0700
Free-agent RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) said he expected to be released by the Denver Broncos because they are going younger at the position.
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 07:45:33 -0700
The Denver Broncos released RB Willis McGahee.
Fantasy Tip: That leaves Ronnie Hillman, Montee Ball and the recovering Knowshon Moreno (knee) to fight for carries. At this stage, it might not be premature to say McGahee is done. Hillman didn't do a lot to impress last season. Could Ball be this year's rookie breakout back? For now, look at him as a No. 2 or flex running back with potential.
Tue, 11 Jun 2013 11:39:48 -0700
Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) was running routes during practice Tuesday, June 11. Moreno was previously only taking part in pass protection drills last week after having knee surgery early in the offseason.
Fantasy Tip: It has to be taken as a good sign that Moreno continues to progress in the offseason program. Keep an eye on his progress as training camp gets closer and see how the depth chart is shaking out. The Broncos running back position will be tough to count on from a fantasy perspective with Willis McGahee, Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball all competing for carries.
Tue, 11 Jun 2013 10:10:20 -0700
Denver Broncos RB Willis McGahee is present for the team's minicamp on Tuesday, June 11.
Fantasy Tip: There was never really much doubt, but McGahee's tenuous roster spot and his absence from OTAs for personal reasons may have given the appearance that there was. Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman appear to be part of the new wave and make McGahee not worth much fantasy speculation, however.
Tue, 04 Jun 2013 09:18:09 -0700
Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno (knee) was back at organized team activities Monday, June 3, and he took part in some pass-protection drills. Moreno underwent an operation in the offseason in which stem cells were taken from the bone marrow in his pelvis and injected into his right knee. "It was nothing really too serious," said Moreno, who tore his right ACL in 2011. "This time it was just a cleanup pretty much. And it feels pretty good."
Fantasy Tip: Moreno will be competing for a roster spot with Willis McGahee this offseason. Both runners are coming off pretty serious injuries, so the healthier back may eventually win out. Even if Moreno stays with Denver, he's going to lose valuable touches to Ronnie Hillman and rookie Montee Ball. It'll be a risky choice to draft Moreno this year.
Tue, 04 Jun 2013 09:16:22 -0700
Denver Broncos RB Willis McGahee (knee) is expected to attend the team's mandatory minicamp next week. McGahee has been absent from organized team activities not due to his contract but because he's dealing with personal matters. McGahee has been taking part in offseason conditioning after tearing a ligament in his right knee in November of last season.
Fantasy Tip: McGahee's health will be the ultimate deciding factor in whether the Broncos elect to keep him over Knowshon Moreno this year. If McGahee proves to be fully healthy and beats out Moreno for the No. 1 running role in Denver, he should be considered at least a solid No. 3 back heading into the season.
Tue, 04 Jun 2013 09:07:55 -0700
Denver Broncos RB Montee Ball said his rookie "jitters are gone" during organized team activities without RB Willis McGahee (knee) participating in the offseason workouts. RB Ronnie Hillman has been practicing with the starters while Ball is getting one-on-one tutoring from QB Peyton Manning after practices. "We're going to count on him in a big way this year," Manning said. "He's a rookie but Coach (John) Fox is not going to bring him along slowly."
Fantasy Tip: With McGahee, Knowshon Moreno and Hillman in front of Ball, predicting how much of an impact he'll make this year is tough. The Broncos plan to make him a part of their offense, though, and if injuries occur, he could be in line for a sizeable workload. Consider drafting him with a mid-round pick for running back depth.
