Gary Fitzgerald, of Redskins.com, reports Washington Redskins RB Brock Forsey realizes he really needs to impress the coaching staff during the rest of the team's offseason workouts in order to have a shot to make the 53-man roster. "Anytime you can do something to stand out to the coaching staff, that's what you need to do," Forsey said. "When you have guys like Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts in front of you, there's not a whole lot of opportunity there. You definitely want to stand out and make plays—give coaches a reason to keep you on the roster."

Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears RB Brock Forsey appears to have pulled ahead of RB Adrian Peterson (hamstring) in the competition for the third-string running back position this year. "What Brock brings to us right now that Adrian probably doesn't have a chance to bring is that Brock got into some regular season games and performed," said offensive coordinator Terry Shea. "Adrian has been kind of in spurts right now. He'll go for three or four practices and look like he's ready to ascend, and then something will hold him back." Both players will continue to battle through the preseason and need to be able to contribute on special teams as well.

"I like the way Brock runs with the ball," said coach Dick Jauron. "He doesn't fool around. He hits the crease.
