"We drafted a young quarterback that we think can come in and play right away, but we're not just going to hand him the football," Holmgren said. "I know my job going into my 10th season of being in this offense is to prepare Brandon Weeden to get him right and make sure he's ready to go for Day 1," Wallace. "This is a different beast. This is a first-rounder that we drafted, 22nd overall, and from a business standpoint, you know and everybody else knows and outsiders know that this kid's got to play. My job as a veteran guy is to make sure he's ready to play."

"You guys have been hard on us all season long, and what we need is to win and win now, and that's one of the biggest things is, whoever gives us that opportunity to do that, I think that should be the decision."
