McCoy was more accurate than Wallace Tuesday, Aug. 21, but McCoy lacks the same velocity as QB Brandon Weeden, who is expected to start. "When I first got diagnosed with this," McCoy said, "the doctor said it was a two- to three-year recovery. OK? So now I'm getting to that point, and my shoulder feels really good. The ball's coming out well. There's a lot of zip on it."

Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren is not saying that QB Colt McCoy is the definitive answer to the team's quarterback problem. "We have Seneca Wallace, too, and Jake Delhomme as well right now," Holmgren said. "But (McCoy) got his feet wet last year. I didn't necessarily want him to play that much last year, but we were injured, and so he had a chance to play. He showed us enough where he will go in, and we're hopeful that - it'll be competitive - but if he does what I think he can do, he'll probably be the guy, yeah."

Cleveland Browns QB Colt McCoy and some of his teammates are planning some workouts for the middle of May if the lockout lingers that long. McCoy has reached out to WR Greg Little, TE Jordan Cameron and FB Owen Marecic to see if they are planning to show up.
