John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports he does not buy the idea that Denver Broncos QB Chris Simms is making a serious run for the team's starting quarterback job. The job likely remains QB Kyle Orton's to lose. If Orton loses his job to the left-handed Simms, the move would devalue the 2008 growth of the offensive line. OT Ryan Clady established himself as one of the league's best young left tackles last season. If Simms wins the job, Clady would either have to switch positions to protect Simms' blindside or be a less valuable blocker at left tackle.

Jim Armstrong, of The Denver Post, reports although Denver Broncos QB Chris Simms has been working extensively with the first-team offense during the team's passing camp, both he and QB Kyle Orton figure to get long looks into the preseason before any decision is made about the starter. "Same thing," McDaniels said when asked if there were any new developments at the position. "Both of them will take reps with the 1s, and we're going to keep doing that until it becomes clear and apparent, and it's not yet. They're both doing some good things, and they're both making some mistakes."

Terry McCormick, of The City Paper, reports the Tennessee Titans could look to add a veteran quarterback after the team lost QB Chris Simms to the Denver Broncos. Although QB Vince Young is the No. 2 quarterback, signing a veteran to come in at No. 3 and to push Young for the second job is possible. If the Titans can't find the right quarterback in free agency, then the NFL Draft might be a possibility.
