Broncos | Denver has not talked about Tony Romo

Mon, 13 Mar 2017 12:31:17 -0700

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has not been discussed by the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Vance Joseph. General manager John Elway and Joseph have both emphasized that they are comfortable with QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch as their quarterbacks.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos do, or did, make sense for Romo, but it also makes sense to stick with what they have in Siemian and Lynch. Siemian figures to begin offseason activities as the starter, but Lynch won't be the backup without a fight. That being said, neither is a starting fantasy quarterback as of now.

Cowboys | Tony Romo trade not likely

Sat, 11 Mar 2017 18:54:08 -0800

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is not expected to be traded, according to league sources, and Dallas is not willing to trade Romo somewhere he doesn't want to play.

Fantasy Tip: Romo is likely to be released if a trade isn't worked out, so he could still end up starting for another team in 2017.

Broncos | Denver not eyeing Tony Romo?

Fri, 10 Mar 2017 18:39:23 -0800

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is not guaranteed to be pursued by the Denver Broncos, even if Romo becomes a free agent.

Fantasy Tip: Romo's fate remains up in the air, but he is still expected to be the starter somewhere in 2017. He is injury prone, but he has QB1 upside. Grab him as a fantasy backup if you have a stable QB1.

Cowboys | Tony Romo to be traded?

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 11:12:26 -0800

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is expected to be traded to the Denver Broncos or Houston Texans, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Romo was expected to be released, but a trade would obviously be more beneficial to the Cowboys. The Broncos and Texans are the main suitors. Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiler are not starting caliber fantasy quarterbacks anyway. Romo, on the other hand, can achieve QB1 status when he is on the field. The key is for him to be on the field.

Broncos | Denver expected to pursue Tony Romo

Mon, 06 Mar 2017 15:06:52 -0800

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo will receive interest from the Denver Broncos if he is released this offseason, according to sources. One source said Denver is Romo's preferred choice if he is cut.

Fantasy Tip: Romo likely will receive interest from multiple teams, but the Broncos could give him a chance to make the playoffs in 2017. He would have a solid receiver tandem to work with in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders but would have to stay healthy. Romo could be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he signs with the Broncos.

Broncos | Two budgets in mind?

Sun, 05 Mar 2017 23:20:52 -0800

The Denver Broncos may be operating with two budgets in mind in case they have a chance to sign Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, if and when he hits free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Mike Klis observes the Broncos need more help on the offensive and defensive lines, but a second budget exists in case the Broncos end up with Romo. If he becomes a Bronco, he instantly turns into Denver's top QB and a decent mid-range QB1 option on most draft boards.

Redskins | Tony Romo won't consider Washington?

Sat, 04 Mar 2017 18:57:42 -0800

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo will abide by the "do-right rule" if released and won't sign with the Washington Redskins, according to owner Jerrry Jones. "It is implied that we will work in the best way we can for the mutual interest of Tony and the Cowboys," Jones said.

Fantasy Tip: The Cowboys can't actually forbid Romo from signing with Washington if released, but don't expect him to end up there. If Romo does go elsewhere, he could produce QB1 numbers if he can manage to stay healthy.

Cowboys | Dallas not ruling out Tony Romo return

Sat, 04 Mar 2017 13:31:42 -0800

Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he has not ruled out the possibility of keeping QB Tony Romo on the roster.

Fantasy Tip: Most people believe that Romo will be released at some point, but the Cowboys have not made a decision at this point. Romo likely would find a starting job if he hits the free-agent market. He could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback depending on his team and if he can stay healthy.
