Paul Schwartz, of the New York Post, reporting for The Sporting News, reports New York Giants RB Reuben Droughns is not guaranteed a roster spot heading into the 2008 season. Droughns was mainly the team's short-yardage running back last season and if RB Danny Ware impresses the team during training camp then Droughns may be the odd man out in the backfield.

New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6. Head coach Tom Coughlin said he hopes Jacobs will be able to play Week 14, but Jacobs said he is going to be careful with the injury. If he is not able to play in the game, RB Reuben Droughns will start in the game.
