Denver Broncos C Dan Koppen is expected to draw the start in Week 5 against the New England Patriots, his former team. C J.D. Walton (ankle) suffered a broken ankle in the Week 4 win. Koppen started 120 games for the Patriots going back to 2003.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos C J.D. Walton (ankle) is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken ankle in the Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders. He was replaced by veteran C Dan Koppen.

New England Patriots C Dan Koppen (ankle) reiterated Monday, May 28, that his broken ankle is better and he is ready to go. "I'm good," Koppen said. "I don't even feel it anymore." However, there is no guarantee he will be the team's starter in Week 1 even if healthy.
