The Arizona Cardinals selected LB Quan Sturdivant in the sixth round with the 171st pick overall. Sturdivant was a started since his freshman season at UNC. The Cardinals are expected to release LB Gerald Hayes, so the team had a need at inside linebacker.

Arizona Cardinals LB Gerald Hayes is not expected to return to the team in 2011, according to CBSSports.com. A back injury limited Hayes last season, and then he was replaced in the lineup by LB Daryl Washington because the team wanted more athleticism. Hayes is also due $4.25 million next season.
