Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said trainers have told him DE Chris Clemons (knee) is doing very well in his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Schneider said he is not sure if Clemons will have to go on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team will use DEs Chris Clemons, Cliff Avril and Bruce Irvin on third downs and defensive sub packages. He said they will all see time to make sure they are fresh later in the game.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said DE Chris Clemons (knee) is doing well in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament but that the team will not let him play until he is completely healthy. Carroll said the addition of DE Cliff Avril will not affect Clemons' role in any way.

Seattle Seahawks DE Chris Clemons (knee) has not had surgery to fix an anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus tear in his left knee, but he will meet with Dr. James Andrews this week. His knee didn't suffer too much trauma, so he could have the surgery soon.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DE Chris Clemons (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn meniscus in the Wild Card playoff game. He was scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews Monday, Jan. 7.
