Baltimore Ravens LB Paul Kruger could have a more prominent role in 2012 with the injury to LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles'). Kruger lined up at Suggs' usual outside rush linebacker position as organized team activities opened this week. "That's the spot where I feel like I fit the best," said Kruger. "It's early to say what will happen, but this is what we're doing now. I'm told where I'm going to line up and I do it."

The Baltimore Ravens are not considering taking any money away from LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') at this point for suffering an injury this offseason. The collective bargaining agreement states the team could withhold some money since Suggs did not suffer the injury at the team's facility.

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') could lose money this season because he suffered his injury away from the team's facility and would count as a non-football injury. The collective bargaining agreement states players on the non-football injury list are not entitled to their salary while on the list. The team could withhold Suggs' first six game checks if he starts the season on the Physically Unable to perform list but are not expected to do so.

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') is still confident he'll play for the team this season after having surgery on a partial tear of his Achilles' tendon Tuesday, May 8. Suggs said that "everything went good" with the surgery. "There is only a small incision, and (the doctor) said it was not as bad as some thought it was, which I had already been told," Suggs said. He is expected to return to action in four to six months.

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') had surgery in Charlotte, N.C. on his Achilles' tendon Tuesday, May 8. "Terrell had a successful surgical procedure done on his Achilles' tendon this afternoon by Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte," general manager Ozzie Newsome said. "We're confident that he can make a full recovery."

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh offered no timetable on the return of LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles'), but he stressed the team won't dwell on his loss. "He will be okay, Terrell Suggs will be fine. He will be back," Harbaugh said. "He will go to work on that rehab like no other. He will continue to be a huge part of what we are doing, continue to be a leader and then the young guys will step up. They will step forward, and you are a football team first, you are a team, team is not one guy."
