Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Fred Pagac is not expected to return after one season at the position. DLs Jared Allen and Kevin Williams have voiced support for the DC. An NFL source also said Tuesday, Jan. 3, that defensive line coach Karl Dunbar has told people he has decided not to return.

Minnesota Vikings DL Kevin Williams (knee) played through pain this season, so he will have his knee examined in the next few days. "We'll get it checked out here and try to see if anything is still wrong with the knee and just go from there," Williams said Monday, Jan. 2. Williams is due to make $7 million in base salary in 2012, and he said he has not been approached on re-structuring his deal and perhaps adding more years to it.

Minnesota Vikings DL Kevin Williams took exception to comments made by head coach Leslie Frazier following Week 6. Frazier said the defensive line was not nearly physical enough in the loss. Williams said he would like Frazier to be more specific. "If you want to call somebody out, call who you're talking about out," Williams said. "Don't say the whole group got out-physicaled. I don't believe that at all ... If you want to call somebody out, you can do that. A couple of guys might have gotten pushed off the ball, but the whole group, no."
