FOXSports.com reports the Denver Broncos are limiting DL Dewayne Robertson (wrist) in the team's offseason workouts to keep from wearing him out, according to The Denver Post. "He probably could practice, but we're a little bit cautious with him," head coach Mike Shanahan said. "We know he'll be able to go in the June camp. So we want to get him stronger in a couple different areas." Robertson recently underwent wrist surgery and has played his entire career with a knee problem.

Sports, reports the New York Jets have formally agreed to send DL Dewayne Robertson to the Denver Broncos for a pair of Day Two selections in the 2008 NFL Draft. Robertson came to an agreement on a new contract with the Broncos that will lower his salary cap figure for the upcoming season. The move saved the Jets over $8 million in cap space. The team is expected to receive two of the five picks the Broncos have between the fourth and sixth rounds.

John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports the New York Jets would likely acquire two of the five draft choices the Denver Broncos currently possess between the fourth-and-sixth rounds of the NFL Draft in what would essentially be a sign-and-trade deal for DL Dewayne Robertson, according to several league sources. The Broncos will need to sign Robertson to a new deal prior to the NFL Draft in order to allow the trade to be completed. The Jets are currently without a fourth-round draft choice of their own, while the Broncos have two picks in the fourth round, as well as two picks in the fifth round and one pick in the sixth round. The Jets currently have a total of just six picks in the NFL Draft, while the Broncos own a total of nine draft choices. Trading Robertson would save the Jets roughly $8 million as he currently is scheduled to count $11 million against the team's salary cap.
