The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free-agent TE Dallas Clark (Colts). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Clark, who'll be 33 in June, has had his last two seasons derailed by injuries. He's no longer a top-tier productive tight end, and the days of Peyton Manning chucking him passes are long gone. Injuries will remain a concern now, but if he can stay healthy, he could produce numbers worthy of a strong backup TE. The presence of Vincent Jackson in the Bucs' aerial assault could leave Clark as a formidable red zone target for Josh Freeman. Draft him as a weak No. 1 or strong No. 2 TE.

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin must figure out if TE Anthony Fasano can fill the starting tight end role in his West Coast system. In Philbin's offense, the tight end position plays an important role as it serves as the primary checkdown for quarterbacks.

If Fasano isn't the answer, the Dolphins may look to the free-agent market to add TE Dallas Clark (Colts) or Joel Dreessen (Texans); they could also address the position during the NFL Draft, looking to find a tight end capable of being a threat in the seam. With Philbin's ties to the Green Bay Packers, the team could look to trade for one of the Packers' five tight ends, possibly DJ Williams.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell said TE Dallas Clark (leg) suffered a significant injury in Week 9 and will miss more than one week.

Fantasy Tip: Jacob Tamme becomes a priority addition if you own Clark or are hurting at the TE position. Tamme won't be challenged for playing time after the other tight end on roster, Brody Eldridge, suffered a serious hand injury. Tamme's potential, however, will be limited with Curtis Painter at the helm.
