The Associated Press reports a judge has jailed former NFL WR Charles Rogers for violating probation in a domestic violence case. Court records show Rogers tested positive for alcohol and falsified records saying he attended Alcoholic Anonymous meetings. A judge in Novi, Michigan, granted Rogers' request Tuesday, March 24, to leave a diversion program and serve 30 days in the Oakland County jail, with credit for 15 days served.

The Associated Press reports free-agent WR Charles Rogers (Lions) has agreed to enroll in substance abuse counseling after violating his probation. Rogers has been held in the Oakland County Jail since Wednesday, Dec. 3. He will be released by 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8.

The Detroit News reports free-agent WR Charles Rogers (Lions) is being held in the Oakland County Jail on a $100,000 bond for a probation violation. Rogers was arrested Sept. 12 following an incident involving him and a woman. He later was charged with assault and battery, pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of trespassing and was sentenced to probation and partial confinement. Rogers was charged with violating probation by taking unauthorized leave from confinement and testing positive for narcotics.

ESPN.com reports an arbitrator has ruled former Detroit Lions WR Charles Rogers owes the team $8.5 million in bonus money. The Lions paid Rogers a $14.2 million signing bonus as the No. 2 pick in the 2003 draft. They claimed Rogers defaulted on the deal when he was suspended by the NFL for violating its substance abuse policy in 2005. Any money the team recovers from Rogers will be credited to their 2009 salary cap.

Geoff Mott, of The Saginaw News, reports free-agent WR Charles Rogers (Lions) is scheduled to have a workout with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Rogers' former high school coach Don Durrett. "He's had a couple workouts with some teams and has a workout with the Minnesota Vikings," Durrett said. ''He's getting caught up (with playing in the NFL again). I tell him to play where he can play and enjoy it. People get caught up on where the best spot for him is."

Mike O'Hara, of The Detroit News, reports the Detroit Lions expect an arbitration hearing to be rescheduled for November to settle a grievance they filed against former Lions WR Charles Rogers. The hearing originally scheduled for May 10 was postponed. Lions chief operating officer Tom Lewand said, "They're going to let us know when they have a date. I think they have to move things around, so there's no conflict with the arbitrator's schedule, or the NFL, or the NFLPA (players union). I expect it will be scheduled relatively soon." The Lions are looking to reclaim $10.1 million of the $14.4 signing bonus Rogers signed in 2003.
