Sources say the asking price is a fourth-round draft choice, but the Chargers would likely accept a fifth- or sixth-round pick.

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports the San Diego Chargers will not trade WR Kassim Osgood. Osgood has recently expressed frustration over his limited role on offense. "Originally, I was unaware of Kassim's unhappiness," general manager A.J. Smith said. "Now that I fully understand his position, I'm sure after his contract expires his agent will do everything possible to make his client happy by finding a team that wants Kassim as a wide receiver first, special teams (player) second. He will not be traded, and we fully expect him to honor his contract. Kassim has made a career and business decision and I respect that. He's a great kid, and I wish him the best."

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers WR Kassim Osgood would like to see time at wide receiver in 2008. Osgood is unhappy with his role as a special teams player and says he will not attend the team's offseason workouts as an act of protest and preservation. "There is no reason to come to the (offseason coaching sessions) and run routes all day and run my body down and not be a receiver," Osgood said. "Another year of special teams is going to kick my (rear end)," Osgood added. He also said his agent has asked the team for a trade at some point in the past year.
