Bills | Anquan Boldin to visit Monday

Fri, 21 Jul 2017 11:17:46 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) is scheduled to meet with the Buffalo Bills on Monday, July 24.

Fantasy Tip: Boldin said earlier in the offseason he intends to sign right before training camp and hopes to do so with a contender, although the Bills really don't meet that qualification at the moment. The 36-year-old would provide a solid veteran presence and give the team a dependable pair of hands behind rookie Zay Jones and the oft-injured Sammy Watkins.

NFL | Anquan Boldin talking with teams

Mon, 17 Jul 2017 15:08:31 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) said he has talked with several teams about the possibility of signing and is scheduled to meet with an undisclosed team Sunday, July 23.

Fantasy Tip: Boldin should find a new team during the early part of training camp and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for a team. His fantasy value likely will depend on his team, but he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Bills | Anquan Boldin a fit in Buffalo?

Sun, 09 Jul 2017 17:56:01 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) is going to be signed, in the opinion of Brian Baldinger of the NFL Network, and Baldinger believes the Buffalo Bills are the best fit for Boldin.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills could use another proven option in the passing attack, but Boldin has said he would prefer to play closer to his home state of Florida. The veteran is at least worth a flier as a WR5 wherever he signs, but his value would receive a boost if he lands with a receiver-needy team like the Bills.

Ravens | BAL unlikely looking at Anquan Boldin

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 13:23:19 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) probably is not an option for the Baltimore Ravens at this point because the team is content with the receivers they have on the roster, in the opinion of the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec.

Fantasy Tip: Boldin probably will not sign with a team until training camp, so owners should keep an eye on his situation. He is coming off a successful 2016 season and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for an NFL team. Owners in fantasy leagues could consider him a No. 5 receiver depending on his team.

NFL | Anquan Boldin waiting to sign before camp

Mon, 19 Jun 2017 21:16:58 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) said that his preference is to sign with a team "right before training camp."

Fantasy Tip: This is the same approach Boldin followed last year before landing in Detroit, where he posted some solid numbers, recording 67 catches for 584 yards and eight touchdowns in his lone campaign with the Lions. Ultimately, Boldin has said previously that he is looking for the right situation for his family and would like to be close to his Florida home. Last season's showing proved the 36-year-old still has some value to offer.

NFL | Anquan Boldin may want to play close to home

Fri, 16 Jun 2017 15:12:17 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) may prefer to sign with a team closer to his Florida home, according to people close to Boldin.

Fantasy Tip: Boldin should receive interest once teams start training camp because he is coming off a solid 2016 season when he posted 584 yards and eight touchdowns. Boldin can be a late-round pick in fantasy leagues if he has a solid role in his new team's passing game.

Lions | Anquan Boldin appears unlikely to return

Sat, 06 May 2017 07:47:09 -0700

Although free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) does not plan to retire, he has not had discussions with the Detroit Lions for more than a month. In the opinion of MLive.com's Kyle Meinke, the odds of him returning to Detroit for the 2017 season are growing increasingly slim, especially after the Lions drafted WR Kenny Golladay in the third round of the draft. In addition, Boldin's No. 80 jersey has been reassigned to TE Michael Roberts.

Ravens | Anquan Boldin may be option for Ravens

Sun, 30 Apr 2017 13:19:45 -0700

Free-agent WR Anquan Boldin (Lions) has received interest from the Baltimore Ravens this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens lost Steve Smith and Kamar Aiken this offseason, so Boldin could improve the team's receiving corps. He is 36 years old but was able to record 67 receptions, 584 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016. Boldin would have a solid role in the passing game if he signs with the Ravens and can be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver for fantasy owners.
