Mon, 26 Oct 2009 07:30:47 -0700 Dale Robertson, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said following Week 7 that he remains confident in RB Steve Slaton, even though Slaton was briefly replaced by RB Chris Brown in Week 7 after he lost his fourth fumble of the season. "People smell blood because he's put some balls on the ground," Kubiak said. "Steve's our guy, and I have a lot of confidence in him. It's our job to help him find a way to hold on to the football. He touches it, and good things happen. But at the same time, you can make five big plays and one turnover can get you beat. Steve understands that."

RB Chris Brown (illness) was available for the game, but he was not feeling well and did not play. LB Xavier Adibi (illness) was dealing with an illness, but he was able to take part on special teams.
