John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said there is a good chance RB Arian Foster will start in Week 17. Kubiak also said Foster and RB Ryan Moats will get more playing time than RB Chris Brown during the game.

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans RB Arian Foster impressed the coaching staff in Week 14 for his ability to catch passes, recording four receptions for 54 yards while averaging 12.3 yards per catch. "We're impressed with what Foster did," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "He can learn a lot of things, but he handled his job in protection for the most part pretty good, so I think we just get him involved more, give him an opportunity." RB Chris Brown starts because he is the best blocker and RB Ryan Moats has had the most problems blocking in the backfield.

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (ankle) was 19-for-27 for 207 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Schaub left in the first quarter with a shoulder injury, but he was able to return in the second quarter. Schaub was replaced by QB Rex Grossman, who went 3-for-9 for 33 yards with an interception. The Texans' third thrown interception came on a halfback pass by RB Chris Brown.

The NFL Network reports Houston Texans RB Steve Slaton (neck) is inactive for Week 13.
Fantasy Tip: RB Chris Brown should get a considerable number of touches today, making him a decent choice as a flex play. He faces the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose run defense has slowly improved from its poor showings in the first few weeks, though. RB Ryan Moats may be a bigger factor than some expect, just because Moats provides a change of pace, and the Texans probably aren't comfortable relying on Brown for a hefty workload. For those in PPR formats, especially, Moats is a sneaky flex play if you're short on options.

Houston Texans RB Steve Slaton (neck) missed the team's practice Friday, Dec. 4. He will be a game-time decision Week 13, but he is not expected to play. RB Chris Brown would start if Slaton is unable to play.

Dale Robertson, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said following Week 7 that he remains confident in RB Steve Slaton, even though Slaton was briefly replaced by RB Chris Brown in Week 7 after he lost his fourth fumble of the season. "People smell blood because he's put some balls on the ground," Kubiak said. "Steve's our guy, and I have a lot of confidence in him. It's our job to help him find a way to hold on to the football. He touches it, and good things happen. But at the same time, you can make five big plays and one turnover can get you beat. Steve understands that."
