The Cincinnati Bengals have placed CB Rashad Bauman (knee) on Injured Reserve, officially ending his 2006 season. He suffered a torn patella tendon in his left knee.

Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports Cincinnati Bengals CB Rashad Bauman (knee) has indeed been lost for the 2006 season. He suffered a ruptured left patellar tendon. Cincinnati likely will place Bauman on Injured Reserve.

Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals CB Rashad Bauman (knee) suffered a ruptured patellar tendon Friday evening, Aug. 18. He will have surgery Monday, Aug. 21 and he is likely out for the 2006 season.

Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals CB Rashad Bauman (knee) is scheduled for an MRI Saturday, Aug. 19, on his injured knee suffered in the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 18. Bauman could be facing season-ending surgery.
