Jeff Legwold, of the Tennessean, reports if Tennessee Titans LS Ken Amato (ankle, hamstring) cannot play, in the Saturday, Jan. 10, AFC Divisional Playoff game against the New England Patriots, then C Tom Ackerman will handle the long snapping. The Titans would likely directional kick more in the punting game with Ackerman in there because he isn't quite as fast in the middle of the field as Amato is.

Jeff Legwold, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans LS Ken Amato (ankle/hamstring) suffered injuries to his ankle and hamstring during the wild-card game against the Baltimore Ravens and is questionable for the playoff game against the New England Patriots. If Amato were unable to play, OL Tom Ackerman would handle the long-snapping duties this week.

Jeff Legwold, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans OL Tom Ackerman will play at right guard while OG Benji Olson is out. Ackerman is not as powerful at the point of attack as the 320-pound Olson is, but he is a savvy veteran who plays the angles well.

Updating previous reports, Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans C Justin Hartwig will start the final preseason game on Thursday, Aug. 28, against the Green Bay Packers. Hartwig, who stepped in when starting C Tom Ackerman (knee) needed surgery on his knee, will start his fourth straight game despite Ackerman's return to the lineup. "They haven't really told me much, but they're giving me an opportunity to win this job, and I think if I keep playing well, I have a chance," Hartwig said. Head coach Jeff Fisher said there was still "a chance" Ackerman could win the starting role.
