St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said OG Roger Allen (knee), FS Oshiomogho Atogwe (shoulder, hernia), TE Daniel Fells (knee), CB Bradley Fletcher (knee), OT Jason Smith (toe), OG Jacob Bell (knee) and FB Chris Massey (knee) should be able to participate when training camp starts, reports Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Spagnuolo said some of the players would be limited at the start of camp.

Updating earlier reports, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams rookie LS Chris Massey, a seventh-round draft selection, received a $27,000 signing bonus as part of his 3-year deal on Friday. The deal is believed to have base salaries of $225,000 (2002), $300,000 (2003) and $380,000 (2004).

The Post-Dispatch reports the St. Louis Rams drafted C Chris Massey to be the team's new long-snapper. Apparently the team is working on alternatives as well as at least three other players took a crack at the deep snap at Sunday's practice: C Frank Garcia, G James Broyles and DE John Burrough.
