Seahawks | Bernard agrees to court's conditions Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:08:10 -0700 Updating a previous report, Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports Seattle Seahawks DL Rocky Bernard agreed to a court order of continuance that says he cannot have any criminal law violations for two years and must comply with the terms of a no-contact order with the victim. He must also finish a domestic-violence treatment program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, comply with any treatment recommendations and cannot own any weapons. Bernard will have to pay $400 in court costs. The agreement is not a conviction as long as Bernard complies with all the conditions for two years.

Bernard pleaded not guilty to a domestic violence assault charge after he was accused of hitting his girlfriend in the head at a Seattle nightclub in April. Under the court order, Bernard must have no contact with the woman for the next two years and must attend domestic violence treatment. He must also have no other violations, own no firearms during that period and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.
