The NFL informed the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, Sept. 30, that Chiefs WR/KR Dante Hall is the first player in NFL history to be named conference Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks after earning Week Four AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Hall's trifecta also marks just the third time that a player has won Special Teams Player of the Week honors three times in a season since the award's inception in 1993, joining former Chiefs return specialist Tamarick Vanover who was a three-time recipient in two seasons (1995 and 1997).

Jay Paris for the North County Times reports San Diego Chargers head coach Marty Schottenheimer is considering making a change on special teams Ė removing Tamarick Vanover from duties and inserting No. 2 WR Tim Dwight. While he hasnít made an official announcement on the topic, coaches told Dwight to be ready just in case. The Chargers could also move No. 3 WR Reche Caldwell to the position if they donít want to risk getting one of their starters hurt on special teams.

The Redskins have worked out former Kansas City PR Tamarick Vanover, but coach Marty Schottenheimer said, "I want to look and evaluate who else is available."

Vanover, who missed all of last season after pleading guilty to a felony charge, still faces a possible suspension by the NFL under the league's anti-crime policy.

The Kansas City Star reports former NFL WR Tamarick Vanover and the Kansas City Chiefs are at war over money. Both parties claim the other side owes them money. Vanover has filed a grievance with the NFLPA seeking the deferred portion of a $500,000 bonus he was supposed to receive as a signing bonus. The Chiefs, in turn, filed a countergrievance asking Vanover to return the portion that was paid up-front. An arbitrator will hear the case next Friday.

Head coach Gunther Cunningham is very excited about his talent but feels he's still very young and raw.
