Cobbs is a power runner much like Staley, and it seems unlikely that the Steelers would keep both backs, plus third-down RB Verron Haynes, as backups to starting RB Willie Parker.

Until RB Verron Haynes or RB Duce Staley proves they can fill the role former Steelers RB Jerome Bettis filled in 2005, Parker will stay. Head coach Bill Cowher said, "If somebody starts to surface and becomes that guy, as the season goes on I wouldn't rule it out.
