Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel said RB Delvin Joyce will continue to be a part of the team's punt and kickoff return teams. Joyce got his first chance to do so in Monday's, Nov. 24, game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and had the Giants' longest kickoff return of the season. "He (Joyce) did a hell of a job," Fassel said. "That was a great run. I haven't gotten to the point that I am going to use Delvin exclusively. I haven't made up my mind, we may stay with the same program." RB Brian Mitchell is the current primary returner.

Tara Sullivan, of the North Jersey Media Group, reports New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel said he is considering a change at punt returner, specifically, the replacement of KR Brian Mitchell with RB Delvin Joyce. "Some of it is just situational and Brian can't do anything about it," Fassel said. "Some of it is the blocking is not there and some of it is Brian. ... When I make a change I've got to see how much is totally on Brian, and how much of it is the help he is getting. It's like the quarterback, he's so dependent on so many people doing things for him. It's pretty hard to put the spotlight on him, but I have considered it, yes."

Joyce was in for Barber for a pivotal three-and-out in the fourth quarter Sunday, Oct. 5, against the Miami Dolphins. Tara Sullivan, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants RB Delvin Joyce will spell RB Tiki Barber for a few plays or an entire series during Week 5 in order to give Barber some much-needed rest. As previously reported, Barber has taken a beating so far this season as the team's lone running back and the coaching staff is worried about risking injury with him. "What's going to happen is we're going to tell him he's out," running backs coach Eric Studesville said of Barber. "That's the only way we're going to do it because he'll never say he wants to come out, and if I keep asking him he won't tell me anything. So I'm going to tell him, 'You're done for a minute, get your rest, and here we go.'"
