The Boston Herald reports one of the biggest question marks as the New England Patriots enter training camp is the nose tackle position. Personnel director Scott Pioli indicated the team will bring in a veteran to compete for the spot, but the market is thin at that position.

Patriots | Seymour Looking To Learn

Sun, 22 Apr 2001 12:26:17 -0700

The Boston Globe reports New England Patriots first round draft pick DL Richard Seymour is looking forward to joining the team and learning from its veteran players. One problem for the Patriots is there are not many vets on the roster at defensive tackle. Brandon Mitchell, Garrett Johnson, and Chuck Osborne are the only three, but the team is working to re-sign DT Henry Thomas, who may be the mentor Seymour needs. Seymour, who is only 21 years old, said he is still learning and still developing. Seymour said he knew little about the Patriots' style of play. New England sometimes uses a 3-4 defense, but Seymour hasn't played much on the nose.

Patriots | Team Notes

Sat, 09 Dec 2000 15:14:20 -0800

According to the Boston Herald, the New England Patriots may move rookie OL Adrian Klemm to left guard due to the season ending injury to Joe Andruzzi (knee). Rookie Greg Robinson-Randall would then likely start at right tackle. The team is running horribly thin in backups as Grey Ruegamer and Grant Williams are the only depth players the team has on the offensive line. On the defensive line, Garrett Johnson will likely start at defensive end replacing Brandon Mitchell (knee), who is out for the rest of the year.

The Boston Herald reports because of injuries, changes are expected in the lineup for week 15. OL Adrian Klemm, who made his NFL debut at right tackle Monday, could be starting at left guard.
