Bill Coates, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams RB Moe Williams (knee) tested his knee during practice with the Rams and said it felt good to be on the field. He took limited reps Thursday, Aug. 3, as the team wants to work him into the mix slowly. He'll be competing for the team's No. 2 running back role.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams RB Moe Williams signed a one-year, $810,000 contract to join the Rams. He is expected to practice with the team Thursday, Aug. 3.

Updating previous reports, StLouisRams.com reports the St. Louis Rams have officially agreed on a one-year deal with free agent RB Moe Williams (Vikings). Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams RB Moe Williams (knee) had two physicals with the team. The first one wasn't clear, so they brought him in for a second one and he was able to pass that physical. He is recovering from micro-fracture surgery on his right knee, which was performed in November last year. Head coach Scott Linehan said Williams feels good and they feel he will be a "great addition" to the Rams. Williams will compete with RB Tony Fisher for the No. 2 running back position. Williams also brings the ability to play on special teams, according to Linehan.

Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports free agent RB Moe Williams (Vikings) made a second visit to Rams Park Tuesday, Aug. 1, but left without signing a contract. Williams played in Minnesota when Rams' head coach Scott Linehan was the Vikings' offensive coordinator.

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports agent Ethan Lock said Tuesday, April 25, free agent RB Moe Williams (Vikings) has not formally retired and may return to the NFL. "It's not clear that he's retiring," Lock said. "That's not accurate at all." Williams will have to find an NFL team willing to sign him.
