John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans will place OG Fred Weary (knee) on Injured Reserve Monday, Aug. 18. The Texans will have five days to reach an injury settlement with Weary. If they reach the settlement, Weary will become an unrestricted free agent. Without an injury settlement, Weary would spend the season on Injured Reserve.

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans OG Fred Weary's one-year deal included a base salary of $800,00 and a $300,000 bonus when he reports to training camp. He could also make as much as $400,000 for games played in 2008.
