The Houston Chronicle reports Houston Texans S Ramon Walker was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing at a nightclub. According to the report, Walker was denied entry into a club when security felt he was too intoxicated. After being asked to leave, Walker and another man allegedly attempted to enter the club.

Carlton Thompson reports for the Houston Chronicle Houston Texans starting SS Eric Brown (shoulder) said Thursday he has some torn cartilage in his left shoulder, and coach Dom Capers said it's "very doubtful" Brown will play in Sunday's game at Cleveland. Rookie Ramon Walker will start in Brown's absence, but others will see action as well. Brown has been told he might need surgery, but he does not want to have an operation during the season.

Carlton Thompson reports for the Houston Chronicle the Houston Texans have agreed to a four-year deal worth about $1.51 million with rookie S Ramon Walker. He was the second of the Texans two fifth-round picks. Walker was one of the most impressive rookies during off-season workouts, and he should challenge for playing time in addition to making an immediate contribution on special teams.

This may translate into significant playing time at either safety position. The Texans plan on emphasizing man-to-man coverage with Walker. Defensive backs coach Jon Hoke said," He wasn't exposed to much man-to-man coverage, so that will be an area we'll need to continue to work with him more."
