The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills OT Matt Murphy (shoulder) has a partially torn left rotator cuff. He will wait two weeks before deciding whether to have what could be season-ending surgery. Murphy's agent, Kevin Fitzpatrick, said Murphy would hold off on surgery. Fitzpatrick added it is possible the rotator cuff could heal enough for Murphy to play and delay surgery until the end of the season.

Head coach Dick Jauron said, "We didn't feel like the addition of 15 or 20 pounds would make a difference in his athleticism. He has real good feet for a tackle. He's very smart. And it's a need position, or was when we made the move. So we thought it was kind of a win-win for him and for us."
