Washington Redskins PK Billy Cundiff's struggles continued in Week 5 as he missed a 31-yard field goal for a second consecutive week. Head coach Mike Shanahan said after the game that he didn't know what the team would do about their kicking position. Shanahan was going to wait until Monday, Oct. 8, to make a decision. "I'm disappointed, especially when it's a chip shot in there," Shanahan said. "What was it, the 13-yard line? Something in that range. That's always disappointing when you have a chance to get a little momentum going, especially at that time of the game."

Baltimore Ravens rookie PK Justin Tucker is pushing veteran PK Billy Cundiff during training camp for the team's kicker duties. Tucker has only missed three field goal attempts, hitting 55 of his 58 attempts since camp began. He even nailed a 62-yard attempt. Cundiff has made 51 of his 59 attempts and was just short on a 65-yard attempt. Barring a preseason collapse, Cundiff is expected to retain his job despite Tucker having a stronger leg and being less expensive.
