Updating a previous report, according to Mark Ludwiczak of BuffaloBills.com, former NFL CB Jeff Burris is very excited to be joining the Bills Radio Network, where he will serve as a sideline reporter. "I've watched every single sports show possible now just to see what I need to do to learn what to say and how to carry myself," Burris said. "I found myself even watching more post-game shows. Like when the NBA Finals were on, I was more concerned about watching all of those guys at the end."

"Jeff is close with Tyrone and that played a part in his decision," Burris' agent, Peter Schaffer, said. "Tyrone had good things to say about the team, the system and the coaches. Jeff is looking forward to playing in New England and was very impressed with the program they have put in place there." Cincinnati Bengals CB Jeff Burris (head) suffered a Grade 1 concussion while making a tackle on a kickoff return Sunday, Nov. 2, against the Arizona Cardinals. The concern is it's his fourth concussion in three years, and second this year. He was briefly knocked out in Oct. 5 game against the Buffalo Bills. He had an MRI on Monday, Nov. 3, and was going to be evaluated more fully Tuesday, Nov. 4. He has not been ruled out for the Sunday, Nov. 9, game against the Houston Texans, but he is concerned. "That's something I have been thinking about," said Burris, a 10-year veteran. "At this point in my career, I'm enjoying the game… but obviously, there are more serious things that you have to wonder about."

Burris, who was taken in for X-rays after a vicious collision, put a big hit on Buffalo Bills FB Sam Gash in the third quarter, then laid on the field, knocked out cold. He was taken off in an ambulance, but after X-rays were negative, he returned to the sidelines in street clothes. He pronounced himself fine afterward and said he would play in the Sunday, Oct. 19, game against the Baltimore Ravens.

He will sign a three-year contract with the Bengals worth $4.5 million, including a $1 million signing bonus. Burris is the first free agent from another team to sign with the Bengals this spring. Burris is already penciled into the Bengals starting lineup, alongside CB Artrell Hawkins.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Indianapolis Colts complete expansion list is: TE Ken Dilger and CB Jeff Burris, both previously reported and DTs Ellis Johnson and Mike Wells and S Chad Cota. Team president Bill Polian made the announcement Thursday. The five would cost more than $21 million against the salary cap next season.
