The Associated Press reports former Baltimore Ravens WR Javin Hunter was sentenced to six months in jail for a fatal hit-and-run accident. Hunter was sentenced Monday, Nov. 10, to a total of five years with all but six months suspended after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the July 17, 2007 accident.

Mary Gail Hare, of the Baltimore Sun, reports street free-agent WR Javin Hunter was involved in an accident that killed a 53-year-old man. Hunter was reportedly driving his car when it struck the man's motorized scooter. Hunter has not been charged with anything as of yet.

SF49ers.com reports the San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent WR Javin Hunter (Ravens) to a two-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Hunter was in for a physical and workout with the 49ers last week before inking his deal. "I'm familiar with Javin from my time in Baltimore," head coach Mike Nolan said. "What impressed me the most about him was that he is a guy that will do whatever he can to make the team."

Brent Jones, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens WR Javin Hunter took his first repetitions at cornerback Wednesday, June 16. The Ravens' coaching staff decided Hunter's best chance at making the team will likely come as a reserve cornerback and kickoff return specialist. Ravens secondary coach Johnnie Lynn felt that Hunter made a smooth transition for his first practice. "I thought when he got in for a couple of plays, he did a nice job while he was in there," Lynn said. "Now it's just a matter of getting in the playbook and learning what we are doing."
